It starts off quite well. Sitting down with a pencil and paper, my son and I begin to work on his monthly zero-based budget (Dave Ramsey style). But there was an immediate conflict of interest. He wanted something fast and Mom wanted to work thoroughly through the details. Tempers began to flare, voices getting louder, each of us determined to solved the dilemma their own way.
Fortunately, these red flags were a clue to both of us that we were getting off on the wrong track. Time out was called. We waited a couple of days and came back to the task with calmness.
Crisis averted and with the help of a few anger management techniques, a problem was solved without a melt down. Anger Management for Men starts April 8 at Desert Streams.
